If Jessica could only teach her clients one thing, it would be that deep tissue massage does not have to be full of deep pressure or painful work to get results. She incorporates myofascial and deep tissue techniques with traditional massage techniques to address underlying tension, dysfunction, and stress. Gentle stretching, trigger point release, and tools are used where needed to keep the client as comfortable as possible while addressing individual concerns. No one should ever suffer through a deep tissue massage, feel sick after, or be sore for days. During a therapeutic massage the whole body is taken into consideration with the goal of restoring a more neutral posture, thus decreasing unnecessary wear and tear, pulling, and strain.
Jessica specializes in deep tissue work and chronic pain relief. Upon graduating, she worked in aquatic rehab for about 6 years before transitioning to a hospital based clinic, there specializing in chronic neck and back pain. During the years in PT, she worked with total joint replacements, stroke rehab, gait dysfunctions, sports injury, and injury prevention. Jessica has taken countless continuing education courses including treatment and dysfunction of the hip and knee, comprehensive treatment of the shoulder, manual techniques for migraine relief, and posture analysis training. 30 min :
A 30 minute appointment is a good option for someone who has never tried massage or bodywork before. If you have one problem area, limited time, or need frequent bodywork to address a chronic condition, we can start here. This is not a full body massage. Can include stretching, cupping, deep tissue work percussion gun and neuromuscular reeducation techniques.
60 min :
An hour of bodywork beginning with the shoulder and back. The focus of the massage is on loosening tight hips and shoulders to take stress and strain off the back. Massage is fully customizable to focus on specific needs and problem areas. Can include stretching, cupping, percussion gun, deep tissue work and neuromuscular reeducation.
90 min :
This guarantees time for a full body massage while still addressing 1-2 areas of concern. Great for people who are looking to improve posture, muscle tension and relieve pain. Massage is fully customizable to focus on specific needs and problem areas. Can include stretching, cupping, deep tissue work and neuromuscular reeducation.
120 min :
Recommended for anyone who lives an active lifestyle and needs time to recharge. 2 hours of bodywork including hip, shoulder and neck stretching, jaw and scalp massage, sub-occipital release and aromatherapy. Massage is fully customizable to focus on specific needs and problem areas. Can include stretching, cupping, deep tissue work and neuromuscular reeducation.
Signature 90 :
This massage includes it all at an affordable price that can fit into anyone’s schedule. You’re in and out in under two hours and feeling you’re best! This is the 90 min therapeutic massage with the addition of CBD oil and hot towels
Areas of focus depending on amount of time scheduled and individual needs include easing massage techniques to tension in mid-back, targeted work to rotator cuff musculature to increase comfortable range of motion, myofascial work to pec and chest to open shoulders and take strain off the neck and back and Neuromuscular reeducation for injury prevention.
Neck & Midback :
Areas of focus depending on amount of time scheduled and individual needs include targeted work to upper traps, rhomboids, spinal extensors and pecs to improve posture, undo hours spent at the desk and decrease strain and pressure on the spine. Gentle stretching, range of motion and manual traction can aid in relaxation and pain relief.
Low Back and/or Hip :
Areas of focus depending on amount of time scheduled and individual needs include targeted stretching and trigger point work of glutes, piriformis, hip rotators, and hip flexor to decrease pulling and overuse of low back. Cupping, hot stones and a massage gun are used based on clients needs and comfort level as well as traditional massage techniques.
Headache, Jaw, & Upper Cervical :
Areas of focus depending on amount of time scheduled and individual needs include targeted work to anterior neck, jaw, pecs and sub occipitals to decrease strain and compression on the cervical spine.
50 min or 80 min :
A classic approach with a more soothing touch. A Swedish massage with Jess focuses on relaxation and improving blood flow while letting you drift away from the stresses of the week. Aromatherapy, heated stones, and warm bamboo can be used at no additional charge. Optional work to the scalp, face, and stomach based on client’s preferences.
30 min, 60 min, & 90 min :
Depending on the stage in pregnancy and the client’s individual concerns – a pregnancy massage focuses on giving mom time to relax and unwind in a safe and comforting environment. We take pressure off the low back by stretching and loosening the hips with gentle range of motion. Special attention to the lower body to help decrease fatigue and swelling in lower legs and soothe tired feet, and continue work on the back and shoulders with mom to be in side-lying. Pillows and bolsters are used to support mom and keep her comfortable throughout the visit.
30 min :
